How it works
Dust carries a signal 15 blocks and loses one each block; the 16th block gets nothing. The numbers on the wire in this view are the power.
- The source gives the first dust a strength of 15. Each following dust loses one level.
- Read the numbers along the line: the sixteenth dust is at zero, so a receiver beyond it has no signal.
Inputs and outputs
- Inputlever (x 0, y 0, z 0)
- Outputlamp, never lit (x 17, y 0, z 0)
Blocks you need
16 × redstone dust, 1 × lever, 1 × redstone lamp.
Build it in the game: 18 commands
Relative to where you stand, with x running east and z running south. Paste one line at a time into chat, or into a chain of command blocks. The block art is the game's own; the layout is what the page above shows.
